All aboard!
Hello and welcome to room 11s journey. I hope you have had a refreshing holiday and are ready for term 3.

The focus for term three is all about environmental education. As a class we are going to be weeding the banks at Duders Beach. This is to ensure the weeds don’t take over the nesting spots of the rare NZ Dotterals.

We are also going to ‘adopt’ a local stream and do experiments to test for water quality and for stream life. We will be learning about the water cycle and how we can protect our waterways.

The class is also going to be doing some drama, linking to the child evacuees of the Second World War.
