Welcome to Room 6!
Wow, Term 3 already! We are now half-way through the school year!!
We are in for another busy term with Graeme Braddock visiting and teaching us some drawing skills; a visit to the Auckland Zoo as part of our Learning Pathways; and lots of work involving Environmental Education. We are also very excited about a new Arts programme between the Year 3 & 4 classes where each class will work on a two week rotation and focus on a specific area, e.g. Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, Crafts and Music, with a different teacher.
Our regular activities will continue in Term 3 for students to remember:
Physical Education & Sports are run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but we try to go out to do some sort of activity every-day. It would be appreciated if students could bring their P.E. Uniform with them to school specifically on Sports days.
Library visits are on Mondays. Students can issue books for a period of two weeks.
Kowhai Assembly is held every Thursday at 1.45pm in the Hall - Parents are welcome to attend.
ICT visits are 8.30 Friday Mornings.

As part of our being an EE School we are constantly educating our students on sustainability and "being Green". If you click on this picture it will link you to a website call Minimonos - this is a virtual world for children and is focused on sustainability, generosity, community and fun.
Moshi Monsters is a fun and interactive website for children to collect pets, complete daily quizzes and decorate their room with trophy's etc. You can also click on this picture to link you to the website.
Please be aware that both of these websites have chat rooms specifically aimed at children and these are monitored constantly. However, please remind your children to only add their friends.
