Beachlands School .::. Room 1A

I hope you all had a relaxing holiday. It is good to be back and to see all the happy smiley faces. I went to the South Island with my family and it was absolutely beautiful. My faviourite places were Arrowtown and it's sweet shop, the West Coast, Hanmer Springs and all the fantastic views.

Room 1A has 21 students at the moment. Mathew Ritchie, Harrison Relph and Josh Tomlinson started new and we hope they will get to enjoy Beachlands School as an exciting place were learning happens.

Our first week started on a high with Graham Braddock teaching the children to draw mail boxes in 3D. They loved it. On the 22nd Oceans Alive is visiting our school and it ties in very well with our focus of 'Keeping water clean'.

We are working hard on our Environmental Project of 'Saving water' and 'making signs' to put up in the school toilets to remind Beachlands Learners to turn taps off.

The children have set new goals for Term 3 and this will be displayed in class by next week.

P.M.P sessions will be on a Tuesday and Friday and your child can wear a short and t-shirt, no socks and no shoes.
