What exciting things will we be doing this term in Room 13? 
We are starting off training for the school cross country run, so you may end up
seeing us running around the streets of Beachlands.  We are then fortunate enough
to have some coaches from Te Puru come each week to teach us how to play
basketball and baseball.
We have a trip to Umupuia where we will be weeding the bank to help preserve the
native dotterals that nest there.  We are also going to be visiting a local stream as
part of our learning pathways topic to test the cleanliness of the water.    Scientific
experiments, learning about the water cycle and  keeping our waterways clean
and pollution free are all part of what we will be covering.
Sadly we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Milburn for a little while as she leaves to
go on maternity leave.  We'll all be looking forward to seeing her later on in the
year.
