Learning Pathways Centre 2013
The students in Years 7 and 8 all have lessons in the Learning Pathways Centre (LPC for short) and their learning is in the Curriculum areas of Technology, Science and Visual Art. They attend one day per week for the whole year.

Monday: Room 15
Tuesday: Room 24
Wednesday: Room 18
Thursday: Room 25
Friday: Maraetai Beach Intermediate students (mornings only)
All students must wear full covered shoes for safety reasons and to comply with OSH regulations. Long hair is to be tied back from faces, and no jewellery other than watches and stud or sleeper earings should be worn.
Term 1 2013
Our students will by designing winter hats, learning to use the sewing machine whilst making art aprons, and creating some weird and wonderful wearable art costumes.
Term 2
We will hone our woodworking skills whilst designing some speedy racing cars that are powered by CO2 canisters. For our Enviro project we ar going to paint murals for the Junior playground to make the area more attractive and to provide a learning environment.
Term 3
Cooking this term will also involve the students in creating their own icecream amongst other things. They will also be off to the Tip Top factory to learn how icecream is produced on a large scale. Also this term the students will make models characters to illustrate classic children's books. No art this term as the afternoons will be spent learning about Planet Earth and Beyond in Science.
Term 4
This year we will be holding our biannual Market Day. The students start up small businesses that are given a budget from which to create a product to mass produce for sale at the market.
