Introduction Beachlands School Board of Trustees welcomes international students to enhance the learning environment for all students through exposing the children to a wider range of cultures. Beachlands School will be sensitive to the culture and customs of our students. We value the contribution students from other nations bring to our school community. Beachlands School has agreed to enrol up to 26 International Students twice yearly. The Board of Trustees has agreed to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. It is the aim of the school to ensure all International Students are fully informed and incorporated into the daily life of Beachlands. We will provide a safe, caring environment for all students while they are in New Zealand. Beachlands School Board of Trustees has contracted Auckland Edinburgh College to be the sole provider of International Students for our school.
Programme International Students attending Beachlands School will be integrated into normal classroom programmes, and are expected to participate fully in all areas of the school curriculum and activities. As with all pupils at school, parents/caregivers will be given the opportunity to attend parent interviews and reports will be sent home twice a year. Two Korean Counsellors are assigned to these students to work in the classroom with them.
