There are a wide range of clubs and activities on offer at Beachlands School. Many of these are led by students with a teacher to support. We are always looking for opportunities to increase these, if you have some time to contribute we would love to hear from you!
There are many options available for students in the Arts, above and beyond the class programmes. Each week there are private music teachers who offer lessons in Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, Theory and Singing. These lessons are either in school hours, during break times or after school. More information is available from the school office.
We have an annual Beachlands Got Talent Show where students audition for places in the Finals Show. We have Dance Groups, Choirs, Singing Clubs and a strong Kapahaka team.
We are a strong sporting school. Students have regular PE and Sports sessions throughout the week with their class and team. We belong to two school sports zones Howick- Pakuranga and East Counties Country Schools which provides us with both competitive and participation opportunities.
The Intermediate Team send students to AIMS Games each year. They work with the local sports clubs to identify, trial and coach these teams. The AIMS Games are an International Sporting Event held in Tauranga for a week in September.
Education Outside the Classroom
We endeavor to involve our learners in a wide range of connected educational experiences. These vary from performers coming to school, visiting the zoo to a four day camp.
Learners in years 4-8 experience a range of outdoor education experiences. These may take the form of day trips for experiences like horse riding, mountain biking. kayaking or a full school camp.
